The season finale of Stranger Things gave us more questions than answers, and the cast and crew are clinging onto any information about what will go down in season two. While at a comic convention this week however, David Harbour — AKA Chief of Police Jim Hopper — shared new details regarding the plot. Warning, spoilers are ahead.
Season two takes place one year after the first:
“It’s a year later in the story, so there are several things that happened last year, like Will has come back.”
Apparently some people in the town know everything that went down:
“There are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don’t know what happened. So there’s a lot of fall out with who knows what.”
Yes, Barb is dead — but her story doesn’t end there:
“The question and the feelings that Nancy has that no one ever cares about her friend Barb, are very much present in the beginning of the season.”
Winona Ryder’s character Joyce Byers has a new boyfriend:
“We have Sean Astin… he’s Winona’s new boyfriend — much to the chagrin to the Chief of Police.”
And now, we wait on Netflix to give us a release date so we can plan our binge-watching party.
