Law enforcement was responding on Friday to active shooter predicament at the Topsail High College, close to Wilmington according to WECT, a regional tv station. Law enforcement resources say the scene is “still lively.”
There have been no immediate experiences of accidents and learners were not owing to report to course till 8 a.m. WECT documented that there may possibly have been some college students on campus when the incident was reported all over 7 a.m.
A Pender County dispatcher instructed Reuters that deputies had been responding to a condition at a nearby superior faculty, but could not elaborate.

Surf City Center School, just more than 8 miles from Topsail, has also reportedly been positioned on lockdown.
The good thing is, this took place prior to school. Police told my spouse Surf City Center buses were taking youngsters to the Lowe’s in Surf City. Not absolutely sure about other educational institutions.
