In a new snippet fromPreserving Up with the Kardashians, from an episode that will air this coming weekend, Kim opens up to her BFF Jonathan Cheban and the production staff about Kanye West’s community TMZ breakdown.
“When he gets ramped up, he simply cannot command what he suggests,” Kim describes in the online video, which you can view up top rated. “But he enjoys currently being ramped up. He’s like ‘I come to feel potent when I’m ramped up, like I really don’t wanna be so suppressed. Yeah I say nuts shit but I have generally stated mad shit. That is why I’m Kanye.’”
Kim then promises Kanye never referred to as slavery a choice, but intended to say that slavery in the future would be a option. “Kanye’s slavery remark, he hardly ever stated that. That was just the headline,” she states. “He stated slavery was 400 a long time, if it’s gonna be another 400 a long time that seems like a choice to me. He did not say slavery was a option.”
For reference, in the TMZ clip from May well this is what Kanye says: “When you listen to about slavery for 400 years — for 400 yrs? That sounds like a preference. Like, you have been there for 400 several years and it is all of y’all? It is really like we’re mentally imprisoned. I like the phrase ‘imprisoned’ simply because slavery goes also directly to the concept of blacks … so jail is a little something that unites us as 1 race. Blacks and whites remaining a single race. That we’re the human race.”
TMZ released a write-up in reaction to Kim’s feedback, stating that the clip wasn’t edit at all and that Kanye in no way pointed out anything about the potential. “To say we edited him or misquoted him … is a lie,” the outlet writes.
